Staging Build

Help us test Natal

You're testing the Natal staging build — a pre-production preview of what's coming, separate from the app that's already live. Install it for your device, use it like you normally would, and flag anything that feels off. What you find helps us ship it right.

What you're testing

This is Natal's staging build — the app you know, running ahead of production against a test environment. It's where we catch problems before they reach the live app. A few things to keep in mind:

  • It's not the live app. This is a separate, pre-production build. The everyday Natal on the App Store and Google Play keeps working exactly as usual.
  • It runs on a test environment. Your staging account and data are separate from your real account and may be reset between updates, so treat it as a sandbox rather than your training log.
  • Expect rough edges. Things are still in progress here — the occasional bug is exactly what you're helping us catch.
  • Updates come often. You'll get frequent new builds — TestFlight and Google Play will prompt you when one's ready. Grab them so you're always on the latest.
  • Keep it to yourself. This build isn't released, so avoid sharing screenshots or links outside the testing group.

How to test well

The most useful thing you can do is use Natal like it's your real app. Beyond that, here's what helps us most:

  • Do real workouts. Start a program, work through the days, mark steps complete, skip when you'd skip, finish sessions end to end.
  • Test real conditions. Headphones, app backgrounded, screen locked mid-workout — that's where audio and playback issues hide.
  • Push the edges. Weak Wi-Fi, airplane mode mid-session, switching apps, taking a call — see what breaks.
  • Capture the moment. When something's wrong, note what you did right before and grab a screenshot or recording.

How to share feedback

All feedback goes through the app, so it reaches us with your device and build version already attached. The more specific, the better.

Inside the Natal app

Open the in-app feedback option (under your profile) and send us a note. It automatically includes your device, OS, and the exact staging build you're on.

This is the fastest way to reach us and the easiest for us to act on — it lands with all the context attached.

On iPhone, even quicker

Take a screenshot while using the app and TestFlight will offer to send it as feedback with a note attached — no extra steps.

Great for anything visual: a layout that looks off, a button in the wrong place, a moment that didn't feel right.
